"Users" (those people who have either become a AcademicECS.com member online or by giving information to AcademicECS) must agree to the following terms concerning the use of the AcademicECS.com website and any services provided by Academic Enrichment Consulting and Services ("AcademicECS").

1. The user agrees that any information submitted into the AcademicECS.comsignup page ("signup form") is valid and true. The accuracy of this information is important because it will be used in the event of an emergency during an Academic Enrichment Consulting and Services Event.
2. The user agrees to the right of non-disclosure, in that no information given to AcademicECS.com (either through our database or through emails at the domain of "@academicecs.com") will willfully be distributed to any other parties than the parent or legal guardian designated in the initial signup form. "Spam emailers" and/or any other forms of malicious use of the information will be denied access to any information without express written permission of the parent or legal guardian of the student in question.
3. The user agrees that some information will be sent over email, including the following:
   • Notification of email address change in the AcademicECS.com database.
   • Notification of password change in the AcademicECS.com database.
   • Notification of signing up for an AcademicECS event (including dates, location, cost and "signup verification number").
   • Notification of a user being placed on a waiting list.
   Because some of these emails may include sensitive information, including usernames, passwords, and/or the whereabouts of a user on a specific date and time, it is the responsibility of the user and that users parent or legal guardian to protect this information from any other parties. AcademicECS and AcademicECS.com is not responsible for this information once it has been emailed, and only sends it out with the confidence of the recipient. Those who do not wish to receive emailed receipts from AcademicECS or AcademicECS.com must make it known in writing which can be sent to Gordon Winther via gcwinther@academicecs.com.
4. Because of the sensitivity of the information being sent to AcademicECS.com, any users under the age of 18 must have expressed permission from their parent or legal guardian to signup for an AcademicECS.com user accoutnas to participate in any AcademicECS events signed up for on the site.
5. All sensitive information concerning a child (defined as under 13 years of age) including the address, phone number, email address and/or name of school attending will be kept secure in accordance with the Children's Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm).
6. All parties submitting information to AcademicECS agree that this information will not be made available to any other persons except staff members of AcademicECS.com and Academic Enrichment Consulting and Services.
