In this literature program, students read 5 literature selections and then form classroom teams to participate in a friendly competition within your school. Literature choices will come from Newberry Award winners, children's classics, etc. A quiz bowl format will then be used where teams work as a group to answer questions about the books that they have read and score points for their classroom teams. Other formats that each team will participate in will utilize a computer game designed like Jeopardy, Tic-tac-toe and Who Wants to be a Millionaire where teams collaborate to answer questions about the books that they have read. Classroom winners can then be recognized with certificates and medals for their participation and achievements.
