In this workshop, students discover the history, geometry, engineering and structural design of bridges and structures. Using Knex and Lego material, students work as a team to replicate, and design bridges and structures within this hands-on experience. As part of this mathematics/science activity, students will also build a bridge of their own using a variety of material (balsa wood, straws, toothpicks, etc.) that must past a stress test as well as meet dimensional requirements that they are presented with.
