The Chaos Tower workshop is a hand-on/minds-on approach to teaching the vocabulary and concepts of physics to younger students. The activities that are involved teach children an intuitive understanding of important physics concepts such as forces, energy and momentum. All of the activity in this workshop is largely exploratory in nature and does not involve students performing complex equations. It instead helps students to understand these concepts through manipulation and visual connections. Students learn the names and meaning of important physics concepts, as well as examples of their use in everyday life such as measurement, weight, volume, cause and effect, making predictions, etc.
In this workshop students build and experiment a variety of devises that utilize vortex’s, trampolines, catch baskets and chimes to name a few. It’s much like a 4 x 6 ft., 3-dimensional Mousetrap game. | Upcoming EventsFor This Program There are currently no events scheduled for this program |
