Using a variety of Knex roller coaster kits, students will construct various roller coaster models and then explore numerous physics concepts. Newton’s Laws of Motion, acceleration, frictional forces, centrifugal force, centripetal force and potential energy are just some of the concepts tested and demonstrated in this activity. Four (4) different coaster designs will be used in this hands-on workshop.
